Worries go down better with soup.  ~Jewish Proverb

There is one thing more exasperating than a wife who can cook and won't, and that's a wife who can't cook and will.  ~Robert Frost

As a group you will plan a meal and a night where you will meet for, and prepare, a meal. Each member of the group will be in charge of the preparation of a different part of the meal, utilizing the help of at least one other member. No pre-prepared foods will be brought to the meal. Ingredients will be prepared on site, with all members helping out. You need to be interdependent in the preparation. If one person is making lemonade, they may add the ingredients together; however, a different person should stir it. While each member will oversee at least one food item, others need to be involved in its preparation.

The meal is to be nutritionally balanced. Keeping in mind other member's dietary needs, plan a nutritionally balanced meal.

Plan what you eat and eat what you plan. For this meal, you will prepare only what you eat. there will be no leftovers. Also, you will sample all the food.

For the dinner conversation, each member will prepare one philosophical question to ask the group. The questioner will act as the discussion moderator for his or her question. Each group will present your evening to the class by way of a Power Point presentation. Each member will discuss a different concept within the textbook using the dinner as context to go into depth in exemplifying the ideas. Each member is responcible for two to three minutes of presentation. The presentation as a whole should run about nine to ten minutes (looking at a four-person group. Add two mintes for the total group time for each additional member exceeding four members). The Power Point will be limited to ten words. The remaining aspects of the presentation will be pictures of the evening.
