Perchance to dream, perchance to sleep. Why is it we don't want to go to bed at night, but we don't want to get out of bed in the morning. Teenagers appear to have a love/hate relationship with this state. The first article is about this tenuous liaison. The second looks at how strange nocturnal environments come at a price. We have discussed in class the highly addictive nature of heroin. What happens when someone in wants to whack the smack and wants to voluntarily go to rehab? The process can take up to a month. By that time, they more-than-likely have changed their mind and are back on the horse. Find out how some states are using voluntary commitment (AKA: "please put me in jail") as a solution to expedite the process. In the second article, discover how rehab can hedge the bet on success and sobriety. Teenage vaping is everywhere. But kids still do it because they think scientific laws don't apply to the young. Turns out, vaping is far more destructive to the developing brain.
